It has no bearing on if it's the best move, the base move, or anything. People just want the Mii's to stay default like everyone else but default is literally RNG of what the devs decided to assign to 111. Now if the awesome Din's Fire was #1 when the game came out, these people wouldn't have a problem with it. Staying 111 clearly means this character isn't optimal and people argue that they should still stay 111 because that's default. Say his #2 is a super weak Grenade and his #3 is an awesome Din's Fire type thing. The clock tower would have a domed top and custom casted bell, according to the plans. Say Mii Gunner's #1 Neutral B is a super weak charge shot. #2 and #3 move aren't variants of the #1 moves, they are completely separate moves.Įxample (I don't play Miss so I don't know their moves so I'm making these up): Any of the #2 or #3 specials are variations.įor Miis, 111 is just what they happened to get assigned. To expand on what you mean by no defaults:ġ11 for every other character is their base move. Bayonetta belongs to Platinum Games, a 3rd-party developer that brings/brought games to other platforms as well, including Bayonetta 1. Personally, I think there were a couple better options, but if Sakurai thinks she’s the best choice, then sure, it’s not like I’m going to stop him or anything, hah.Īnd no, Bayonetta is not 2nd-party. I don’t necessarily think it was a bad decision, or that she shouldn’t be in there I’m just expressing my personal view on her inclusion, and comparing her “status” to the other fighters that have been in the game. Sakurai and Nintendo obviously thought otherwise, and that’s what should matter to people at the end of the day. I guess I just don’t think she’s relevant enough (don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying she’s not relevant at all) in comparison to the rest of 3rd-party characters that have been previously chosen. I think it’s alright for Nintendo to go a bit more easy in relation to selection of their own characters, as long as their biggest mascots are already in, but 3rd-party characters should be chosen with absolute care, imo. In my view, it would have been a better choice if she was a character that could match up to them, because we’re talking about SSB, the fighting game featuring some of the most iconic characters from the entire video game industry. I just don’t believe she’s anywhere close to being up there with them. Exactly – she’s in the roster with characters that have greatly influenced + been huge icons of the video game world for 20-30 years now.
