He died one night after an all day session on the piss, chatting up all the honeys around town. Yup I play an undead Dwarf called "Sir Loin of Biff" It always seemed like he just knew every dwarf, and was missing dialogue scenes at times that I expected them. I liked him, but didn't have that real deep relationship connection with him that I had with Lohse and Ifan honestly. And Beast, who while being fiercely loyal, I didn't really form too much of an attachment to in game. Ifan, who became his closest confidant, Volgar's light and Ifan's darker real world tendacies coming off on one another. He was joined by Lohse, who became like a sister, both trying to cheer the other up and ask if they're doing well. He wanted to be a good person, but really struggled when his god literally told him to consume other's souls and put power over the welfare of others, as well as the idea that the race to Divinity meant he'd have to kill his allies, or so he thought. Until he met Beast and actually met Duna. He initially supported the Queen blindly and worshiped Duna. In case your curious, I played a dwarven mage named Volgar of the noble Frostforges, dwarves known for their use of using their water and fire magics to create excellent armor and weapons. I can easily make a story and get my character involved personally with the events of a game. I went with custom, and I'm pretty happy with the result. I spent like a couple hours trying to decide whether to play a custom character or an origin one. I cannot wait to hear the stories our players will tell when the full game releases. We couldn’t have done this without our early access community, but it’s crazy to think that all this time they experienced less than a quarter of what BG3 has to offer. Baldur’s Gate 3 has become an astronomical game that never fails to surprise, and I’m super proud of the team. We set out to make a game that would reward player creativity and truly bring D&D to life in a cinematic way that explores the breadth and depth RPGs can offer. Over 600 spells and actions (excluding upcasts), compared to Divinity: Original Sin 2’s 225 player spells and actionsĬEO and Creative Director Swen Vincke praised the features in a statement:.12 classes and 46 subclasses, compared to Divinity: Original Sin 2’s 10 “schools of spells”.Play as one of 11 playable races and 31 subraces, with multiple body types.Seven playable protagonists, each with their own rich stories, personalities, desires, and objectives, as well as a best-in-class character creation system for custom characters.Over 170 hours of cinematics, twice the length of every season of Game of Thrones combined.More dialogue than three times all three Lord of the Rings books combined, the script for Baldur’s Gate 3 contains over 2 million words. Moreover, Larian has also unveiled more details about the content of Baldur’s Gate 3, including which D&D races and classes will appear in the game, new playable characters, companions, and character customization options. Reaching a technical bar that matches our design ambitions felt like the right move, while holding back the PC version when we knew we’d be ready felt like the wrong move in such a busy launch period.
